InData Systems FM-450 can be mounted as a fixed mount device either on a RAM mount or with optional brackets. It reads 2D codes such as data matrix as well as stacked linear and conventional linear bar codes. It can also read a single or 2 lines of 5 different types of OCR Fonts. The FM-450 has the power to capture and download images to a PC for applications that include signature capture, PC-based decoding, and image lift requirements as well.

The FM-450 Reader was designed with the optional seal kit to meet rugged IP-67 environment but without the costs usually associated with this level. It is ideally suited to packaging, printed circuit board manufacturing, electronic component manufacturing, and clinical/diagnostic applications, and may be configured for keyboard wedge, USB Keyboard emulation or USB serial emulation, HHLC (Code 128 emulation), TTL RS232, or True RS232 output. The FM-450 connects to all popular PCs and portable data terminals.
